Blue Lake

Embark on the Indian Heaven Lakes Trail, a moderate hike spanning 10.9 miles (17.5 km) through Washington's Gifford Pinchot National Forest. You will gain 1554 feet (473 metres) in elevation, with most hikers completing the route in about 4 hours and 59 minutes. As you traverse this high subalpine plateau, you will discover numerous lakes and meadows, moving between dense forests and open, grassy sections. The Indian Heaven Lakes area is particularly notable for its unique ecosystem, characterized by a high subalpine plateau dotted with many small lakes and expansive meadows. In mid-summer, the meadows burst with colorful wildflowers, creating a picturesque scene.
