On exiting the church yard you might have to lower your bike down the wall, as the exit gate is a little narrow for bigger bikes.

There was a church and a parish priest at this site during the Doomsday survey, and it is said that St Cuthbert’s body rested here in the 9th Century.
The church is widely used by the local community today for weddings, christenings and mass.
