Master builders from various eras gave it its present appearance.
The first smaller church was built around 1200.
In the 13th century, the church was converted into a five-aisled hall church.
In 1492, with the appointment of Bartholomäus Rieseberg as pastor, the Reformation was introduced. Rieseberg also took care of the maintenance of the church and the purchase of a new organ.
