Adorable white is this beach. It's fun to walk, even if you want to bathe and avoid sunbathing due to the history. Since 2007, the soda (bicarbonate sodium) factory has been decommissioned. The factory still smokes in the background of the beach .....

The official locality named Spiagge Bianche on Wikipedia is located in Rosignano Marittimo, between Rosignano Solvay and Vada, in the province of Livorno. The tropical appearance is not natural. It derives from the calcium carbonate discharges of the nearby Solvay group soda factory, active for over a century. Despite the heavenly appearance, the area is at the center of strong discussions due to past and present industrial discharges.
