With just over 300 inhabitants, Schlabendorf is a tranquil place (steep) in Luckau in the beautiful district of Dahme-Spreewald, which has a lot to offer and is undergoing a spectacular transformation process, especially as a result of the renaturalization measures in the former mining area: "The place Schlabendorf has an eventful history. Once located on the edge of the Schlabendorf-Süd opencast mine and originally intended for mining, the village is now on the shore of the lake of the same name - with its own marina, which was created on the site of a former mine water purification plant."
