Hiking

The Grummer Teiche, popularly known as the Grummer Seenplatte, are a series of ten ponds in the Bochum district of Grumme, fed by the Grummer Bach and its tributaries Rottmannsbach, Schmalebecke and Albecke. They are primarily used to store rainwater or as flood protection. Due to the natural design of the facility, they are also a popular local recreation area. The city of Bochum has designated it as a landscape protection area.
