"At the time of its presentation, Matthias Schweikle said of his work: 'This is my commentary on the current real estate boom.' With the installation, he also wants to remind us to build in harmony with nature. Reversing the proverb of the golden cage, the artist depicts a gilded bird trapped in a cage—perhaps one of its own shortcomings."
