The "En de Höll" wine house is located directly at Orchheimer Tor, the southern of the four city gates. It was built in 1618 over the vaulted cellar of an older previous house.
It is named after a ravine that once formed the connection to Stumpfgasse. The memorable reference to "hell" was worked out in the 1950s.
