Here, in the town hall, the Mittenwalde District Court was housed until 1952. Today it has lost its "official" character and functions as a normal commercial building. A law firm is located here, for example.

Hiking

Mittenwalde is a town in the Dahme-Spreewald district. It was first mentioned in 1239 and was first described as a city in a document from 1307. In 1375 the council acquired higher jurisdiction from the elector. A customs station was also built here. Trade was carried out, among other things, with salt.
