You will find the ultimate crunchy gravel on the climb of the Besthemerberg. The height difference may be negligible, but the view (and the sound...) makes up for everything. Wonderful, should not be missed during your gravel ride in the Vechtdal.

At the end of the path over the Besthemerberg, there is a great temptation to cycle immediately to the right to Ommen. But a nice alternative is to turn left and then after some time take the forest path (paved) to “Nieuwe Brug”. Please note, you have to cross a busy road along the way! At the end of the path, pass under the viaduct and then turn left to the “Nieuwe Brug” restaurant. Also fun for children, because there is a playground and an "Outdoor event". After this break you can easily reach Ommen along the road.
