Hiking

The Flora Temple on the south side of Lake Louisa, created in 1909 with Flora, the goddess of spring and flowers, is today one of the most romantic places in Bad Elster.
The bronze statue, formerly created by the renowned sculptor Peter Pöppelmann, fell victim to World War II. In 1994 a new Flora statue was created based on a template by the sculptor Ernst Julius Hähnel from 1842. Elsteraner donors enabled their casting in a local art foundry. The unveiling ceremony took place on September 13, 1997.

Hiking

In the beautifully designed Paul-Schindel-Park there are numerous opportunities to take a break on a park bench. Here in front of the Flora Temple, right on Lake Louisa, it is particularly attractive.
