A unique medieval pond system with many rare animals, crabs, kingfishers and mussels. Park Domazlice Zelenov represents the beautiful nature of the region.
The protected area of 3 km2 was established in 1987. Most of the park is covered by dense spruce forests. However, there is also a unique medieval pond system that supplied Domazlice in the Middle Ages. Only three of the original 17 ponds have survived, but the water is very clean. That is why waterfowl, crabs and river mussels thrive here.
