This church was built by contractor / mill builder Lubbers from Meppel and was put into use in November 1852.
The vestry was added in 1873. The original tower had to be replaced in 1874. In the tower is a bronze bell from 1698, cast by K. Wegenwart in Kampen. A second clock from 1638 has disappeared in the last world war.
