Hiking

Here you will find an unspoilt high moor landscape, which can be visited via the wooden plank path. Information boards provide information about the moor with the habitat for rare animals and plants. It doesn't matter whether it's summer or winter, you'll always find a postcard motif here. I like it almost better than the Wildsee. It is best not just to walk through it, but to take your time and let the landscape work its magic on you from one of the benches.

The Kaltenbronn high moor lies southeast of Gernsbach, above the Reichental district, in the middle of a huge forest area in a primeval landscape with cirques and block fields. It belongs to the forest area of the city of Gernsbach. The high moor, located at an altitude of over 900 meters, has been a nature reserve for over 60 years. The development of the high moor can be traced back around 10,000 years.
