    Hiking

The Luther Church in Bad Steben was an architectural gem at the time of its construction. The material it was built from was only used for the second time in a church in Germany during its construction: reinforced concrete.
With its slate slabs on the exterior surfaces, the red-tiled roofs, and the stone-decorated corners of the facade, the design reflects the Heimatstil (local style) that emerged in the 1870s.
Its consecration took place on October 9, 1910, and it received its name even later.

The Luther Church, built in 1910 in an open reinforced concrete construction, is one of the few Art Nouveau churches in Germany.
While the facade is in the so-called "native style", inside there is a wide Romanesque-Byzantine hall with stout columns, ornaments and decorative medallions.

The Luther Church with its church tower shapes the cityscape of Bad Steben in Upper Franconia from afar.

It is the main church of the Evangelical Lutheran parish of Bad Steben. The church was built from 1908 to 1910 in Art Nouveau style with a local style facade. A Romanesque-Byzantine hall inside with mighty columns, various ornaments and decorative medallions.

Together with Ulm's Pauluskirche, it was one of the first two churches in Germany to use reinforced concrete as exposed concrete to a large extent. It has 1,250 seats and has been called the Luther Church since 1985.
