The Volkspark Hasenheide in Neukölln has a bad reputation. In fact, certain areas resemble a thriving drug bazaar more than a green space. Those who are unfamiliar with the area unexpectedly find themselves in such a section, and some scenes may seem surreal to them. Hasenheide is certainly not a suitable destination for sentimental, romantic souls. But despite the visible problems, the Volkspark offers plenty of space for relaxed recreation away from the dark corners. Especially the offer for children is noteworthy. The Neukölln animal park and the large playground "Tales from 1001 Nights" deserve special mention.

Is really recommended, but certain sections are not lit at night which can seem a bit eerie.
