Lunet aan de Snel is part of the Defense Line of Honswijk, which in turn is part of the New Dutch Waterline. The defenses served to flood the polder when the enemy approached. Lunet aan de Snel was built in 1845. Nowadays you can do all kinds of activities around Lunet aan de Snel, both on land and on the water.
