Hiking

The building was originally a guardhouse that was added to the outside of the city wall in the 13th century. In 1581 it was mentioned in documents as a new brewery. The brewery tower is the only tower of the city wall that has been preserved. It served as a prison until the 18th century. The old brewery now houses the city museum. It is open on Sundays from March to December from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is free. (Source: Flyer Homberg/Ohm)
