Was a street musician from Halle and known throughout the Saale city. A true local character.
He was born on October 12, 1878, in Glaucha. Zither-Reinhold lived by wandering through Halle's streets with his barrel organ. Later, he had a zither instead of his barrel organ. Zither-Reinhold died in 1964.
About the fountain
This small fountain was opened in 2002 in memory of Reinhold Lohse. The fountain was created by the artist Prof. Wolfgang Dreysse.
