Hiking
Behind the walls of Thurnau Castle lies a turbulent history. Several noble families expanded the original castle over the centuries into an extensive palace complex. Especially nice: You can not only look at a castle here, but also discover many small details and traces of the past during the tour.

Very beautiful and one of the largest and most important castle complexes in Northern Bavaria with construction phases from the 13th to the 19th century. Today there is a restaurant and a hotel with 21 modern rooms in the historical building ensemble.
