For the best view, a viewing platform was set up in the vineyard a few steps below the tower. The distant view over the so-called Zeller Hamm is extraordinary.
When the weather is good, a hut next to the observation tower provides drinks and small meals. You can tell from the valley whether the bar is open by a waving blue flag.
