Part of the restaurant of the BECHERPLATZ is the small brewery Karl IV., Which builds on the tradition of brewing beer in Karlovy Vary. The origins of this tradition date back to 1370, when the king and Roman Emperor Charles IV granted the city the title of royal city with the privilege of brewing beer. This tradition was interrupted for a long 13 years, after the brewery Charles IV had set in the operating part in the street Sokolovská in Rybáře in 1999.
