The Lambretto is an artificial diversion of the Lambro near Monza, built by the Visconti family for defensive purposes in the 14th century, along with the walls of Monza. It originates near the Lambro, just below Monza Park, and is crossed by the Lecco Bridge and the Mariotta Bridge, before rejoining the Lambro just after crossing the railway.
