According to tradition, the previous church was consecrated to St. Blaise in 1420. In 1714/1715 the lord of the castle Joachim Heinrich von Beust had the Langenorla church rebuilt. Several renovations followed (1806, 1837, 1910, 1999). The building consists of a rectangular choir and the slightly wider nave.
