Krottorf was first mentioned in 1238. The place belonged to the Count of Regenstein. The church belonging to the village was rebuilt in 1889. Only the tower dates back to 1703. The belfry is from 1775. Two bells ring in it. The smaller one is from 1693 and the larger one was cast in 1843.
