Northeast of Wirsberg is located on the slope of the Kosertals the rock castle of Adlersteins. It consists of phyllites. The circular walk KU12 (Golden Falk way) of the Franconian Forest Association leads past the Geotop.

On the steep south slope of the valley, which the Koserbach has cut into the rock, the phyllite rock spur of the Adlerstein juts out powerfully. From here you have a good view into the valley, typically Frankenwald, cut into the rock in a V-shape.
