Hiking

In 1905, a burial ground from the younger Bronze Age and the older Roman Empire was discovered on the Tanzberg and archaeologically examined in the following years. It is considered to be one of the most important sites from the 1st century in what is now Saxony. On the hiking and cycling path north of the Ketzerbach there is an information board about the importance of the site and the excavation finds.

Not much can be seen in nature from the archaeological site Tanzberg. It is very interesting, however, that a marked and signposted hiking trail leads there from both sides, but which is closed to pedestrians with another sign right behind it .... häääähhh?
