The architect of Myzeil is Massimiliano Fuksas from Rome. The engineering firm Knippers Helbig from Stuttgart is responsible for the structural planning of the steel and glass structure.
The design has some structural weaknesses. In winter, for example, the main entrance had to be protected from falling ice and snow with the help of a temporary portal. In 2013 the entrance area was redesigned so that a permanently installed roof now protects the entrance.

The Zeil is a street in the north of downtown Frankfurt am Main. Since the end of the 19th century, it has been one of the best-known and best-selling shopping streets in Germany. Before that it was famous for its magnificent inns and palaces from the Baroque and Classicist periods.
