North of Lauenstein are located on the castle hill remnants of the old Lauensteiner castle. Are preserved wall remains, a Schiessscharte, as well as remainders of the observation tower. Furthermore, there is the so-called "teahouse" whose ceiling has now collapsed. The castle ruin may not be entered due to danger of collapse 🚳

Remains of a hilltop castle from the 13th century, which was demolished at the beginning of the 19th century due to severe deterioration. The foundations of an observation tower and the remains of a small chapel from the 19th century can still be seen.
