Since 1988, the Aarburg Fortress has housed the Aarburg Youth Home, a home for male youth between the ages of 14 and 22.

Unfortunately, due to its current function as a youth home, the fortifications are not freely accessible. However, from spring to autumn, there are public guided tours through the historical grounds every Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
