Hiking

The Margaret (also Margaret's) is a chapel on Wittekindsberg in Barkhausen, a district of Porta Westfalica. Because of its proximity to the Wittekindsburg she is also known as Wittekindskapelle. The exact construction period of the Klus is unknown, its first written mention dates from the year 1224. Possibly it belonged to a Mindener Bishop Milo founded in the year 992 Benedictine monastery, which was relocated to Minden around 1000.
