Uluṟu–Kata Tjuṯa National Park protects one of Australia’s most culturally and geologically significant landscapes, jointly managed with the Aṉangu Traditional Owners. Around Walpa Gorge, the park shifts from open desert into a dramatic corridor between the giant domes of Kata Tjuṯa, where rare plants, creek beds, and cooler microclimates survive beneath the towering conglomerate walls. Entry to the national park requires a paid park pass, currently around AUD $38 for adults for three consecutive days, with fees helping support park management and Aṉangu communities.
