You can already see the ruins of Haus Murach near Oberviechtach from afar. The 20 meter high keep with its viewing platform offers impressive views of the Upper Palatinate Forest. The key to the keep is available from the burgwart Manfred Senft, Obermurach 58, Tel. 09671/91234.

Every year on the 1st Sunday in August, the Hausern Castle Festival attracts numerous visitors.
