The Île du Grand Bé is a small tidal island. It is only accessible on foot via a natural path at low tide. The island is primarily known as the burial place of the French writer François-René de Chateaubriand. In addition, there are remains of historical fortifications. The island offers a wide view of the Atlantic Ocean.

Definitely go! Beautiful view and experience.. on the island there are also several benches to enjoy the view. You can also walk to the island Petit Be, here you have to wait a bit longer for low tide +/- 1.5 hours after Grand Be.
