The "Korallenfels" quarry in the Schupbach district was first operated in 1899 by the "Marmorwerke Balduinstein Guido Krebs" company. The quarry was closed in the early 1960s. The current owner plans to set up annual guided tours in cooperation with the Lahn Marble Museum in Villmar.
