Den Battelaer is a former floodplain between the Zenne River and the Leuven-Dijle Canal and is home to many plants and animals, including the bluethroat, sedge warbler, gadwall, and marsh forget-me-nots. GGG Zennegat is a sigma floodplain with tidal action, a true spectacle. You can observe rare migratory birds here. You can search for animals and plants along the dikes and hiking trails.
