The Gothenburg City Theater at Götaplatsen
When one speaks of the Gothenburg City Theater today, one means the building on Götaplatsen, which opened its doors in 1934 and still largely uses stage machinery that was once built by the Gothenburg Weftbetriebe, although the history of the City Theater goes much further back the past goes back and Gothenburg has the oldest city theater in Sweden.
