The old station was used on the Löwenberg-Zehdenick-Templin railway line, which had been in operation since 1888. He was of particular importance for the nearby former garrison Vogelsang, where more than 15,000 Russian soldiers were accommodated until 1994.

The station is still served by regional train line 12 from Berlin-Ostkreuz to Berlin, but the building expires.
