Protection for centuries: The Krk Fortress offers insights into the city's eras and has an exhibition inside.

Anyone who visits the island of Krk in the Kvarner Bay will find a lot of peace, idyllic bathing bays and a peaceful atmosphere. The fortress of Krk with Frankopanska Castle bears witness to the fact that the island may have experienced different times. The fortress, the oldest parts of which are around 900 years old, was built to defend the city against enemies and to provide the population with refuge in the event of an attack.
