In 1930, Egon Holzapfel, the son of the forester at Gut Langewiese, erected the fieldstone pyramid loosely from stones found in the area. After unknown persons had destroyed the work a short time later, it proved necessary to stabilize the stone pyramid with mortar, and the fired clay tablet of the three rabbits was then embedded in this pyramid.
