The Tay Road Bridge was built between 1963 & 1966. It's 2250m in length and spans the Firth of Tay between Dundee and Newport-on-Tay.
You get great views of the bridge and across the estuary from the cycle path and roads that run along the shore.

Further inland, the Angus Loop reveals unspoiled landscapes, charming towns, and the open freedom of the glens. You can even catch a notable viewpoint of the Tay Road Bridge from the Broughty Ferry Coast Path.

When planning your ride, note that while much of the North Sea Cycle Route and Angus Loop follows quiet country roads and paved surfaces, you should be ready for occasional sections of gravel, sand, or cobblestones.
