Hiking

A great little museum in the Northern Upper Palatinate Forest Nature Park that's very informative and not at all boring. Our 7-year-old also really enjoyed it. At the entrance, you're given headphones that you plug in yourself at each station. A lot of information is explained through short films, making it interesting and easy to understand even for children. The volcanic eruption is, of course, the highlight!

Hiking

The volcano experience is a modern museum. Various short, well-made films can be listened to with headphones. You can learn a lot about the origins of the cone and later of the town. The volcano erupts every hour. A great experience, not only for the children.
Plan 60, better 90 minutes for the museum. Nice program item for dubious days.
