From here you have a great view on both sides of the mountain ridge on which you are walking. Then you come to the edge of a pine forest next to a spacious meadow. Some benches invite you to linger. On nice days the gliders fly close above you. For me one of the most beautiful places in the Harz.

The bench is one of the very often set up benches on the Sudmerberg.
This is not far from the Schützenhaus and can be reached in a good half an hour. You can sit on the bench in the sun and enjoy the view over a beautiful meadow to the Brocken
