Hiking

The Lorato chapels were built during the Counter-Reformation and are usually found on heights outside the city. They comply with very specific architectural rules regarding the dimensions of the "Casa Santa", the nature of the decor and interior fittings. The Santa Casa is the home of the Virgin Mary, according to legend transported from the Holy Land to Loreto in Italy in 1294. Opposite the chapel is the hermitage.
