Hiking
The Brouwersgracht got its name because many beer breweries were located here in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. Beer is one of the oldest products in Amsterdam. Most breweries were located on a canal, so that the required large quantities of grain, peat, hops and water could easily be supplied.
