In the middle of Lichtenfels, the German basket-making town, this fountain commemorates the long tradition of basketry in the town. The striking wicker figures make the fountain a small, but worthwhile, eye-catcher in the city center.
Lichtenfels is closely associated with the weaving of baskets and other products from natural materials. To this day, this craft shapes the town's image and identity.
A small highlight for a city tour – and a nice opportunity to discover a piece of Lichtenfels' history and craft tradition along the way.
