Seaton Wetlands are an area of marshland and reedbeds beside the River Axe that are designated a nature reserve. Explore the five bird hides including the Island Hide and nearly 4 kilometres of level trails and boardwalks suitable for wheelchair, bikes and pushchairs. This is a dog-free reserve.
On my last visit here, I saw shelducks, nesting swans, a wading redshank, avocet and Canada geese. Check the whiteboards at the Discovery Hut and Lookout for what has been spotted recently when you visit.
The site is managed by Wild East Devon, and you can check out more at: eastdevon.gov.uk/wildeastdevon/wild-east-devon-nature-reserves/seaton-wetlands
