Hiking
The Damse Vaart is a canal in the north of the Belgian province of West Flanders. It is approximately 15 km long. The canal connects the provincial capital of Bruges with the Dutch border town of Sluis. The excavation work for this canal started after approval by Napoleon (1810), hence the name Napoleonvaart.

The Damse Vaart, lined with its iconic row of trees, offers a picturesque view that stretches endlessly along the water. This quiet, straight route is ideal for walkers who want to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and the beautiful reflections on the canal. A classic picture of the Flemish polders that you don't want to miss.
