The Obere Nassenwieser Teich - also called "Obere Nassewieser Teich" - is a historical reservoir in the Upper Harz. It belongs to a complex water management network and is located about two kilometers northeast of Buntenbock. The artificial body of water owes its name to its location on what was originally a swampy and impassable area on the upper reaches of the Innerste.

The particularly high-lying pond was of great importance for the mines around Clausthal. From there, the water could be directed into two different mining areas. These were the very profitable "Burgstätter Zug" east of Clausthal and the "Rosenhöfer Zug" further west.
