Langlütjen ... Langlütjen (formerly: Langlütjensand) is the name of the two mudflat islands that were artificially created in the 19th century, Langlütjen I and Langlütjen II in the mouth of the Weser. Politically, the islands belong to the area of the Lower Saxon town of Nordenham on the Lower Weser. On them are the remains of initially Prussian and later imperial naval forts, whose task was to protect the Bremen ports. Source: Wikipedia
